| Plan now and make your reservations at DS/USA’s signature winter event, The Hartford Ski Spectacular in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. This year’s event celebrates the 40th anniversary of DS/USA and the 20th anniversary of The Hartford Ski Spectacular.
Participants of all ages – from youngsters to elders and inbetweeners – are invited to enjoy snow sports made accessible by adaptive equipment and lessons from seasoned professionals and skilled volunteers.
It’s a family-friendly environment as kids and parents alike learn what fun can be found on the slopes, regardless of the nature or level of disability.
Among the week-long activities are:
- Beginner programs in Learn to Ski, Learn to Snowboard, and Nordic Skiing
- Race camps for skiing enthusiasts within the National Race Festival
- Elite/United States Ski Association (USSA) Level II races in slalom and giant slalom
- The Corporate Challenge Race featuring disabled and able-bodied skiers teaming up for a thrilling downhill race
- Level 1 Nordic Race
- Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) Adaptive Academy continuing education credits
- Social events throughout the week – banquets and casino night!
National Race Festival – a three-tiered program featuring Mid-Level Development for youth and adults interested in beginning to race, Learn to Race for athletes in pursuit of Paralympic competition, and Mentoring with members of the USDST and other nationally ranked athletes for all youth involved in the National Race Festival. Youth scholarships are available for the National Race Festival.
